CPA & ECT Act Returns Policy

1. Hygiene & Consumables Return Exception (CPA Section 20(3) & ECT Act Section 42)

Because our catalogue consists of topical and ingestible natural health consumables (carrier and essential oils, skincare, haircare, CBD preparations, supplements, and healthy food alternatives), strict South African public health and hygiene regulations apply. In terms of Section 20(3)(a)–(b) of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), once a product’s protective hygiene seal has been broken, opened, or partially consumed after delivery, it cannot be returned for a change-of-mind refund.

2. 7-Day Cooling-Off Period for Unopened Goods (ECT Act Section 44)

You may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of receipt for a full refund, strictly provided that the product remains 100% unopened, unused, in its original packaging, and with all tamper-evident hygiene seals intact. Direct return courier fees for change-of-mind cancellations are borne by the customer.

3. Implied Warranty on Defective or Damaged Goods (CPA Section 55 & Section 56)

Under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, our products carry an implied warranty that they are safe, of good quality, and free of manufacturing or formulation defects at the time of delivery:

  • What Is Covered: Products that arrive damaged in transit, have a faulty dispenser/container, or are found upon initial opening to be spoiled, contaminated, or defective prior to their stated expiry date. We will repair, replace, or refund defective items at our courier expense via Bob Go.
  • Consumable Exclusions (CPA Section 55(2)(c) & Section 55(6)): The 6-month warranty does not cover products that have been consumed in the ordinary course of use, expired beyond their natural botanical shelf-life, degraded due to improper storage (such as exposure to direct sunlight, heat, or moisture contrary to label instructions), or subjective dissatisfaction where the formulation meets its stated specifications.
